Dr Scherman is committed to providing thoughtful, patient-centred treatment in a calm and supportive environment. He understands that neurological and spinal conditions can be stressful for patients and their families, and places particular emphasis on clear communication and careful decision-making. He takes the time to explain diagnoses and treatment options in plain language so that patients feel informed, reassured and confident about their care.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Scherman maintains a strong interest in research, education and training. During his neurosurgical training he served as the sole elected trainee representative to the Neurosurgical Education and Training Board, contributing to national training and standards. He continues to be involved in teaching medical students and junior doctors and has published research in multiple peer-reviewed journals.
